Self-Pay Rates

Sound Dermatology offers transparent self-pay pricing for patients who do not have insurance, whose insurance is not accepted by Sound Dermatology, or who choose not to use insurance for eligible services.*

The rates listed below apply to self-pay services and do not represent the amount an insured patient may owe.

*Self-pay options may be limited by applicable insurance plan requirements and federal or state program billing rules. Medicare, Medicaid, and other insured patients may be required to have covered services billed to their insurance.

Destruction of Lesions

These services include the destruction of precancerous lesions (such as actinic keratoses) and benign lesions (such as skin tags and warts).

Steroid Injection (Intramuscular)

Steroid injections are used to help relieve itching and inflammation associated with eczema, dermatitis, and other inflammatory skin conditions.

Injection pricing includes the medication and administration and is charged in addition to the applicable office visit fee.

Biopsy

The prices below reflect the biopsy procedure performed in our office. When a specimen is submitted for further examination, it is sent to an independent laboratory, Pro-Path Dermatopathology, for analysis. Pathology services are billed separately by the laboratory. The cost of pathology services can be discussed with patients at the time of biopsy.

Additional Information

Laboratory Services

Laboratory testing is not performed or billed through Sound Dermatology. Laboratory services are billed separately by the laboratory and may be paid directly or billed through the patient's medical insurance, when applicable. Upon request, laboratory recommendations can be provided by Sound Dermatology.

Payment Information

An additional office visit fee may apply to procedures performed during an office visit.

Cash, checks, major credit and debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards are accepted. Payment is due at the time of service.

Upon request, an itemized receipt can be provided following your visit.
